At Core ECS Consulting we have developed & deployed all kinds of SQL databases and associated applications for the Defence Industry - primarily in Classic ASP & ASP.NET. In this project, many applications were shared by multiple departments or teams. We used a set of predefined tables thereby maintaining strict control over data security and application access. By assigning users to User Groups and Project Teams, we assessed the level of access to the data and the functionality to be made available to each Project Team. Using appropriate SQL database administration we were able to restrict each department or team to access and display ONLY their own data.

As part of the same project, Core ECS was also responsible for day-to-day administration of the SQL Servers. We also used the Analysis Services module to produce OLAP cubes to support the needs of projects hosted using Microsoft Project Server.
